Carbon Bucket Seat
A dual-seat concept built around carbon bucket seats, designed to show that both fixed and folding versions can carry the same level of craftsmanship — just expressed in slightly different languages.
The foundation for both versions is a dark grey base combining woven leather and Alcantara. This material pairing sets a technical, performance-driven tone while still introducing handcrafted depth and visual complexity.
The woven leather brings structure and detail through its interlaced surface, while the Alcantara softens the composition and reinforces the motorsport character. Together, they create a layered texture that feels purposeful rather than decorative.
A yellow leather stripe runs through both seat concepts as the defining accent. It introduces clarity, direction, and identity — a controlled burst of color that cuts through the dark grey base and gives the design its signature.
From this shared foundation, the concept splits into two interpretations:
Folding Version
The folding seats maintain a cleaner, more minimal execution. Without additional hardware detailing, the focus remains on material flow, surface continuity, and the contrast between woven leather, Alcantara, and the yellow stripe. This version feels lighter, more road-focused, and slightly more refined in its simplicity.
Fixed Version
The fixed carbon buckets take a more technical and motorsport-oriented approach. Refined black grommets are introduced, adding structure and mechanical detail to the composition. These elements enhance the racing identity of the seat while maintaining the same material language as the folding version.
Design Breakdown
- Dark grey woven leather + Alcantara base
- Yellow leather center stripe for identity and contrast
- Folding seats: clean, minimal execution without grommets
- Fixed seats: black grommet detailing for motorsport character
- Shared OEM-plus bespoke craftsmanship approach
- Dual interpretation of the same design language
Design Perspective
Duality. Precision. Identity.
Both seat types share the same foundation but express different personalities. The folding version leans toward usability and visual purity, while the fixed version emphasizes motorsport structure and technical detail.
The yellow stripe acts as the unifying element — a consistent visual signature that ties both executions together.
Material Philosophy
Everything is defined by contrast in restraint:
- Dark grey tones for depth and seriousness
- Woven leather for craftsmanship
- Alcantara for technical softness
- Yellow stripe for controlled identity
- Grommets (fixed version) for mechanical precision
Overall Impression
A cohesive seat concept that demonstrates how the same material language can shift between elegance and motorsport aggression simply through structural detailing — subtle, technical, and carefully balanced in both directions.
