The 2.0-liter magnesium-case flat-six was rebuilt and modified to 2,040cc displacement, incorporating upgraded internal components and precision machining for improved performance and reliability.

The engine case was line-bored and machined for standard main bearings by Ollie’s Engineering in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. During the rebuild, forged 81mm JE pistons and Biral cylinders were installed, increasing the compression ratio to 9.8:1.
