1985 Porsche 911 Coupe Interior

A complete restoration and customization of a 1985 Porsche 911 Coupe interior — created as a fully bespoke commission where craftsmanship, rarity, and Porsche heritage come together in one deeply individual design.

At the center of the project is a specially manufactured two-tone cognac leather developed exclusively for this interior. The leather was custom produced specifically for this build to achieve the exact warmth, richness, and tonal depth envisioned for the car. The result is an atmosphere that feels timeless, luxurious, and unmistakably air-cooled Porsche.

Complementing the leather is an exceptionally rare tartan fabric imported specifically for this project. Today, the material has become even more special, as it is completely out of stock and no longer available — making this interior effectively impossible to replicate exactly again.

The tartan introduces authentic period character and motorsport heritage into the cabin while creating a striking visual contrast against the warm cognac leather tones.

Design Perspective

This interior was designed to feel like an ultra-exclusive Porsche Sonderwunsch commission from the 1980s elegant, individual, and deeply rooted in period Porsche design culture.

The rich cognac leather creates warmth and sophistication, while the tartan fabric introduces texture, rhythm, and unmistakable vintage motorsport identity. The subtle dark green switch graphics were developed specifically to echo the tones within the tartan pattern, creating hidden visual continuity throughout the cabin.

Every detail was designed to reward closer inspection.

About the Project
