This BMW 2.3-liter S14B23 inline-four and Getrag five-speed manual gearbox were removed from the seller’s 1988 BMW M3, which reportedly showed approximately 157k miles and was previously sold on BaT in October 2021. The engine features a cast-iron block, an aluminum cylinder head with 16 valves, dual overhead camshafts, individual throttle bodies, and a powder-coated valve cover and intake plenum with “BMW M Power” lettering. A used clutch is included with the gearbox, and the package also includes a radiator, cooling fan and shroud, and a variety of ancillary equipment and spare components.
The 2.3-liter BMW S14 inline-four features dual overhead camshafts, an aluminum cylinder head with 16 valves, individual throttle bodies, and a cast-iron block. Factory-rated output was 192 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine is topped with a green powder-coated BMW M Power intake plenum and valve cover.
